The festival, sponsored by the three Rotary Clubs as well as the Manassas City Public Schools Health Advisory Board, focuses on school-age children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. According to Dr. Tod Davis of Developmental Optometry and Vision Therapy Services, the goal is health education. “There will be lots of information at this festival,” Dr. Davis says. “The truth is, there are many fitness and health programs available for young children in the Manassas area—but not everyone knows where to look. Part of the goal of this festival is to make sure that information gets out there so that children are helped.”

The festival will also feature various activities for children who attend. In addition to information and fun, limited health screenings including height, weight, BMI, hearing, vision and scoliosis will be provided. “We want to make sure that children are getting the information and the care that they need to be healthy,” Dr. Davis adds.
